COVID-19 (coronavirus) - Update
Dear Member:
I greet you in the uplifting and precious name of Jesus Christ. I hope that you and your family are doing well. As you are aware, our country and world are facing cautionary measures in dealing with the Coronavirus. I want you to know that your health and safety are of my highest concern. I want to encourage you and your family to follow all health and safety measures to guard against the Coronavirus.
We are doing our best as a church to be in compliance with CDC’s guidelines for assembly. When the CDC gave assembly guidelines that permitted 250, we were able to operate within that framework. But this Sunday, the assembly guidelines changed to no more than ten people to gather in one place. It is for this reason that we are canceling our Sunday Services and weekly scheduled activities until further notice.
As you are aware, the church faces tremendous challenges in the absence of not having church services. I want to encourage you to do your best in pulling together to help the church financially during this uncertain time in our country. Your tithes and offerings are greatly needed for the church to continue to meet its obligations. Please send your tithes and offerings to: New Joy Baptist Church, P.O. We are in the process of being enrolled in Zelle Online Banking with Bank of America. We hope to have this set up sometime next week. I will keep you updated on its progress; but in the meantime, please mail your contributions to the church P.O. Box mailing address.
During this time of non-gathering, we must stay spiritually in tune with God’s Word and our Christian obligations to uphold the bloodstain banner. We are working to set up our Facebook for the church and other social media. Brother Alvarez puts the Daily Scripture Readings on our website and will continue to do so.
In conclusion, God has brought New Joy from a mighty long way and he has great things in store for us even now in these trying times. Please remain prayerful and close to God.
